We are heading out on the Valor on 6/26. We have a large group of friends and family (60 or so) and this will be our first time to Roatan. So.......any suggestions for excursions. Some like low key, maybe diving, shopping anything at all.

Thanks for your help.

I was there a couple years a go and the diving was out of this world!! We dove with a Whale Shark and lots of Turtles, not to mention the huge 6'+ sea sponges. As for the rest of the Island I did not get to see much we were at a beach resort for a while that seemed very nice and we walked through town real quick before the boat left. Roatan is always rated in the top 5 of dive spots in the world don't miss out!!

We found a tour guide from this post...Trevor Hudlin or something like that. He was booked but he did get us hooked up with a very nice, English speaking young lady tour guide. For about $12-15 we had her for the entire day. She took us sight seeing all over the island. We saw cultural dancing, did some shopping, went to the iquana farm (loved it), and to the beach. I loved Roaton very much. I found it to be a beautiful island and came away very informed. My husband did not care for it. He did not like to see the poverty and the children pan handling. We hooked up with Trevor online at an email address we found on this forum. We did not do anything thru the ship. I had a great time and would gladly go back. How you could get 60 people from place to place I have no idea, but Trevor could hook you up with someone or something I am sure. Super nice guy! Highly recommended.
