Hi:We are sailing May 1st, Eastern Caribbean on the Caribbean Princess. I like the layout and some of the features of the Grand Class ships, and the fact that it will be brand new, but the primary reason we decided on Princess was the pricing of the GS category cabin versus similar cabins on other lines -- Celebrity, HAL, and RCCL were much higher for equal or less square footage. Plus this will be our first cruise with Princess and we wanted to see how the line stacks up against the competitors. Based on the comments on the message boards, I get the feeling that Princess Service is what is going to stand out versus the others, with dining, entertainment, and the other features likely to be good to very good.
