Hey anyone booked for this yet? This is our first time leaving from San Juan....and we're staying for a night before the cruise. Does anyone have any recommendations on things to do in SJ?

Check out CruiseCritic.com , boards, and look for the All Destiny Cruisers Past and Present thread under the Carnival Board. You will see many comments, reviews and roll calls for Destiny. You will see some good comments on where to stay in San Juan.

Hi Lena, yup we go then too. Our first time out of San Juan as well, and we often arrive the day before cruising, but not this time, sleeping in, getting direct flight at 11am arriving 4:40, hope we make it for early seating. Leave us some dinner, ok? Which seating are you? We don't know our cabin, went for a guarantee. Did you hear Martinique is toast as of the new year, it's Dominica instead. Hey Bob, yeah it's only our second cruise. The first one was in August this year on the Glory, which was fabulous!!!!! The first trip was a big one, gathered 40 of us. Biggest group on the ship. but this time, it's just a girls get-away. 4 of us. We're from NJ, so we figured we'd go out the day before (just incase) of snow...so it's our way of guaranteeing getting on board.
