Romantic Ideas? - South Caribbean

I'm now addicted to this website! Since you all have such great information, I was hoping you could help me out.

On Dec 18, my girlfriend and I will be onboard Celebrity's Galaxy 8-night cruise through the South Caribbean. It's our first cruise and the first vacation we'll have taken together. The vacation also has very special significance for other reasons but I won't go into that. In any case, I'd like it to be a wonderfully romantic cruise and I want her to enjoy every moment.

From your experiences or accounts you've read, please let me know of any great romantic spots to visit or things to do while on the ship or at port. Our itinerary will take us to:
San Juan, Puerto Rico (overnight - I was thinking dancing & moonlit beach)
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
Basseterre, St. Kitts
Bridgetown, Barbados
Margarita Island, Venezuala
Oranjestad, Aruba (leaving port late at 11pm)
[Christmas at Sea]

Of course, I'd like to keep her laughing as well. So if you have any ideas for fun (or just goofy) stuff to do, that's great as well. I'm sure we'll figure it out, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

Thank you!

p.s. I don't want to give away too much of her personality on the off chance she reads this, but she's in her late twenties, very lively (not very patient), loves dancing, and prefers to avoid big organized tours or typical sightseeing outings. -- Teddy

St. Thomas...charter a sailboat...call Captain Max...St. Kitts..it's a blast to go on the snorkeling/catamaran tour. Nothing much on Marg. island....Aruba...if she likes to have fun, you have to try Carlos and Charlie's . It's a great ship and itinerary...you'll have a wonderful time!!

Aruba (or any of the other places too) but it's easy in Aruba ....rent a vehicle and get to a beach where there is just you two.

HI TEDDY!!

Are you booked in a suite or do you have a veranda?? Breakfast, lunch or dinner is always nice once in-a-while. Make sure you order your coffee, juice and pastry to be sent to your cabin each morning. I find early morning coffee shared together can be a great way to start the day.

How about 1 present per day!! Make sure they are little romantic things with fancy wrapping and little cards that say those romantic things that she wants to hear. Champagne in the room is always nice and comes in handy before you want to get
"up close and personal". A single rose is always a very nice gift in the cabin.

I was on the Summit in October and I arranged a beautiful dinner with friends. We had special wine and the Maitre D' did some nice things for us (special hors d'ouvres). I then presented my wife with a diamond and ruby dinner ring in the shape of a butterfly. I had purchased the ring in advance and saved it for the right moment. Giving a nice piece of jewelry at dinner can go a long way in the memory book!! Have the waiter serve the gift wrapped box to her...don't forget the card to go with it so she will know how much you care.

GOOD LUCK!!

ROSS
