We are disembarking from the Galaxy in mid-June in Rome and decided to take the easy way out. Our travel agent booked the cruiseline's transportation from the ship to the airport. It includes being put on a disembarkation manifest which gets your luggage and you to a coach and gets you to the plane on time. It is $65.00 p/p but saves the hassle factor. I don't know what others recommend.
