Ahoy There Everybod!

I just received an e-mail from Deana Johansen (Ronda's sister). Below is an extract:

Dear friends,
I am Ronda's sister, Deana, who went on that cruise with Ronda back in 2001. I heard about the lovely lunch that you held in honor of Ronda and enjoyed how much you all showered her with blessings. Ernie, Ronda's husband, and her daughter, Becky, were touched also by your friendliness and love.

As I write this email to you, I am looking around the room at the silly and wonderful ducks everywhere. I am taking a break from sitting with Ronda, and found that I could get into her email to write. Ronda is mostly unresponsive now, since last Saturday, and the Hospice nurse says she probably won't last thru the weekend. Ronda has not been doing any computer work at all for a couple of weeks ...

I am staying at Ronda's house for at least another week and try to check my own email everyday. Please pass on this information about your dear friend, Ronda, to your cruise buddies. You are the only one I am selecting to write to. If you write back to me, please use Ronda's name in the subject line so I know it's a safe email address.

I will email you this next week with anymore info that you need.

Thank you for being so wonderful to my sister. You honor her so much. Cruise for her. See the world for her. She loved all of you.

Respectfully,
Deana Johansen

NOTE - Deana has provided me her e-mail address, but I won't release it without her permission. I will, however, be only to happy to forward on any messages to her, Ernie and Becky. My address is: Calgon1@Yahoo.Com

Additionally, I'm asking for everyone to join me in prayers for a gentle resolution and passing for Ronda, her family and ourselves. Thank you ...

Thank you Calgon for your post. I sit here in tears for someone I never met but who had become so very dear to me. She reached out to me & offered me her friendship, her wisdom on dealing with life & cancer, and she offered me hope. I will forever be grateful to this wonderful lady. Please pass on all of our thoughts & well wishes to her family.

How beautiful and sad. I know that Ronda was at peace and ready to continue her journey, but not quite ready to go. May she be remembered with peace and love when her journey continues.
