My family and I are taking the Carr. Princess in late July. Two boys 19 & 15 as well as my wife and myself. Some one suggested to tip the room service waiter is this each time room service is used. In addition to the normal tipping? And I hope there is enough to keep my 19 year old busy on the ship.

Yes, though I haven't used room service much, I believe a couple of bucks when someone delivers is appropriate. If you have a balcony, many appreciate their breakfast out there to start the day.

Yes we always tip for room service just like if you were in a hotel room service gets a tip but it is added to the bill. If they bring a pot of coffee we give them $1.00 if they bring a lot of food and have to carry heavy trays we give $5.00 or so. We give diff amounts depending on how much we order, so sometimes we give $2.00 and so on. Yes there will be plenty to keep your 19 year old busy and you too :lol That class of ship is very nice and offers many choices to eat and swim as well as several places to catch a show. They also show movies, they have a putting green, and a video arcade. The list just goes on and on. Have a great cruise :wave

You might have the miss understanding that the room service delivery person is included in the tips charged to your onboard account. They are not. The dining room wait staff and your room steward are the people for whom this tip is destined. You should base the amount you tip room service on the amount of food you order. Simple stuff $1, full dinner for 4 that takes 2 carts to deliver $5 (at least). You be the judge.
