If you are, the room will be called "obstructed view" in their brochure.

If you look at the brochure you will see that the lifeboats are on the Entertainment deck, so the lifeboats will be below you. There are no cabins obstructed by lifeboats, unless you call looking down and seeing the lifeboat before you see the ocean. They would not make balconies that were on the same level as the lifeboats.

Enjoy your cruise!

We had booked a verandah cabin on the Penthouse deck (2C?). We saw a post on the Cruise Critic web site where someone else had booked the same deck, and complained because the tops of the lifeboats were just below his balcony. His comment was that he could have climbed over his railing, and stepped onto the top of the lifeboat. That may have been a bit of an exageration. He also said they were lit at night, and the lights were annoying to him when he wanted to sit on the balcony at night. Based on this, we moved up one deck to the Vista deck. I don't believe the cost was all that much. The 306 degree tours of the Millie on the Celebrity web site are a bit confusing in this area. If you look at a Penthouse deck view, you will notice the tops of some lifeboat davits in the view from the balcony. When you look at the Vista deck pics, you will see the same exact view, while looking up one more deck on the Panorama deck shows nothing. They've used the same photo for both the Penthouse and Vista decks, and the same photo for the Panorama and Sky decks. The view from the Sky deck should be more like the view from the Panorama deck. Hope this wasn't too confusing, but no matter what anyone says, the lifeboats do not obstruct the view of any category 2 or above cabins.

We had a 2C on one of our transatlantics on the Millie. The only time we saw the life boats from our verandah was if we stood at the railing and looked down on them.
I never noticed any lights on the lifeboats and we were in the cabin for 14 nights.
