Hi Anna Marie,
We are flying into London the day of the cruise. Would have been nice to spend a few days in London but won't be able to this cruise. We've been to London a couple of times and enjoyed it. We sailed out of Harwich once. Actually it was the day of Princess Diana's funeral. I think this cruise is almost sold out, but I guess not many of the people sailing read this board.
Have you decided on any tours yet? I was surprised to see that Holland America charges your credit card immediately, when you book a tour, instead of putting it on your ship's statement like Princess does. They get their money immediately, even though your cruise might be months away. At least that's my understanding.

Just made the final payment with my TA today. Requested the early seating of the late seating...if that makes sense. She told me we are confirmed for 8:30pm and wait listed for 8pm Gets confusing.
After checking around I too believe that this cruise is close to a sellout. Must be folks who do not do message boards.
We booked cat B ... will wait for them to tell us where.
Have been to London numerous times. Sometimes I think I know my way around there better than Seattle. I love the theater !! Hate the food ... /Is HAL transporting you to Harwich?
I did copy the offered tours but have not read carefully looked thru them yet. We usually do the ports ourselves so it is time for me to get serious. Have been to Paris several times. Recommend the Normady Beaches if you have not been there. Done that too. Never touched Irish soil so I'm anxious to explore there.
Where are you from? Frequent cruiser?

Stay in touch Be fun to meet onboard.

Hi,
I need to call my TA today to make final payment. We are confirmed for the 8pm dinner seating. I liked the open dinner seating on Princess, but Holland America doesn't offer that. I really prefer eating around 7pm. I like to be on deck during sailaway, not getting ready to eat. We have a catagory E guarantee. Didn't figure we'd use a balcony much on a Transatlantic, so decided to go with an oceanview.
We live in Wichita, Kansas but are getting ready to go to Colorado for two months. It get's pretty hot here in the summer so we head for the mountains. We'll be back just in time to get ready for the cruise.
We booked our air through HA, so the transfers are included. Since we're not going early, we decided to use cruise air. We could have saved some money booking our own air, but sometimes it's not worth the hassle.
Let me know what you come up with for tours, we might be interested in joining you.
We do plan on going to the Normandy Beaches but will book that through the cruiseline.

I take my laptop with me to Colorado so I will stay in touch.
