[size=medium]We just came back from an amazing time on the Freedom of the Seas. It was fantastic! My boys (16, 14, and 11) had the time of their life. They enjoyed every minute of the cruise.
The weather in Miami wasn't all that great when we left, it was very very windy (55 mph winds). It was hard to walk on deck 12. That only lasted the first day, it calmed down after that. Even though the winds were aweful the ship was pretty steady. The weather was awesome! 82-85 degrees with a nice calm breeze every day.
The food was awesome, as usual! We ate in the dining room every night. Our wait staff was excellent. We exchanged hugs at the end of the cruise. They really made our stay fantastic. Their service was impecable. We had a group of 4 adults and 11 children. The head waiter kept our kids entertained with magic every night. He was awesome with the kids. They didn't want to miss one night in the dining room. They also didn't mind dressing up either. A++. They absolutely loved having 24 hour pizza from Sorentos. One night we came back to the room at 12 midnight and opening the adjoining door to check up on the kids and there was a group of them sitting watching a movie on tv eating pizza and cheesecake and drinking pop. They had ordered room service. It was a funny site to see. They had so much freedom to do whatever they chose. The kids clubs and teen clubs were awesome. They met so many people.
Our cabin attendant was terrific. We had adjoining rooms with our children (very nice). Everything was kept very very clean. The beds were so comfortable. We slept great! This was our first time having interior rooms. We slept so good because it was dark. I would definitely get an interior room again. It suited us just fine.
The entertainment was fantastic. First class all the way. We had a wide variety of shows all week. The magician was wonderful. It was a magic show and production show all in one with dancers and entertainers. The dancers were awesome. They had a live music show one night. They had motown another night. Comedy. Every show was very very entertaining. First Class. We fell in love with Richard Spacey, the cruise director. What a riot he was. He was awesome. The Quest, what can I say, was hilarious. The ice shows were fantastic.
We stopped at Puerto Rico, St. Thomas and St. Maarten. Very nice places.
Freedom of the Seas was a fantastic ship to be on. There was so much for the kids to do. Not once did I hear the dreadful "I'm bored!". In fact they were very sad to come home. My Son's collected a page full of MSN numbers from the kids they met. It was great! We cannot wait to go again.
Way to go Royal Caribbean, you did it again!!
