Just got a email from celebrity saying I was now elite plus because of my diamond plus status , no big deal , rccl has much better perks , we were only a couple of cruises away from elite plus anyway.

Same here George. We are already way up there on RCI, Celebrity, Princess, HAL, Cunard..
the only way any of them can elevate us is if they carry us on the ship on a Persion carpet while being fanned by beautiful women in feathers.

to late for this to impact us.
but as they are trying to attract new blood to stick with them.. it is a good marketing strategy.

Now if I could only get RCI to purchase HAL away from Carnival I would be set also. lol Not so many choices out of my Home Port of Vancouver as HAL. Miss my perks.

BSea, we made the decision many years ago to try a few brands, and not go for the gusto with just one.
sometimes we wondered if we had made the correct decision, as we spread our bucks between five different lines, while friends reached the top tiers.

But finally we reached the point where we have great benefits with all five.

so we get to pick and choose, usually depending on the length of cruise, plus itinerary.

and now the cruiselines are changing the rules again‍

Celebrity are doing what we call “ party cruises” 4..5..7 day cruises.
Not the long ones that we love.
so…. Scratch Celebrity. lol

glad we had not consentrated on them all these years.

Know what you mean..but I'm working my wa up on HAL...Although never thought they were much compared to X and RCL. Will see what I can talk my TA into..lol
