Personally I prefer Royal Caribbean, but if dad wants to go with NCL OK. Don't sweat it. I believe that the food and entertainment is better on Royal Caribbean, but NCL is good. Since this is your first cruise you will not have anything to compare it to. Humor your dad and go with NCL, you will have the opportunity to try Royal Caribbean another time.
