I can't seem to locate any information that there are in room safes on the Ryndam. What do you do with your valuables if you don't want to wag your whole purse along to dinner or on excursions?

ALL cabins on the Ryndam have safes -- you need to have an old library card, grocery store card -- anything with a magnetic strip to close and open the safe.
You will not have to drag all your valueables with you.

Every cabin on every HAL ship has in room safes. The ones on Eurodam are fabulous! Extra large....held our camera, Acer mini netbook, and various valuables.

I can also confirm that there are safes in the Ryndam cabins. We were onboard last year as part of a family trip, occupying almost everything from an inside cabin to a suite, and we all had safes.

Thank you all! I have only been on a Princess cruise, and it had the safe, which was so wonderful to have. I am glad to know that the Ryndam has them too! I wonder why they dont list it in the aminities??

All cruise lines have a safe in the cabin. Some are listed, some aren't. Just like hotels. You don't always see "in room safe" listed among amenities, even though it's there. Although I feel far more secure leaving my valuables in a cruise safe than a hotel safe.

We just returned from back-to-backs on Ryndam's sister, Maasdam, and had a fabulous time.
The "S" Class ships are outstanding and quite unique at sea these days with all the monster ships. We love the perfect size of the "S" ships.
