ISLA de MARGARITA

The cruise ship dock area gets better and better each year. Now, the beach and beach bar with live music would not be a bad way to spend the entire day. Please don't judge unless you've been there within the past year!

There's an excursion (offered by the ship) that is ALL via water: COCHE ISLAND CRUISE! You are picked up by the cruise ship pier and go by boat/cat to Coche Island. On the island there are beach chairs with shade covers for everyone. A bar is set up on the beach with Cokes and other soft drinks as well as rum punch and beer. It's only for this excursion and VERY quiet. There are times when you might be the only person in the water. It's a real experience to see so much beautiful uncrowded open beach!
