Hello everyone,

We are tentatively planning a S. Caribbean cruise on the Golden Princess with Venezuela on the itinerary and was wondering if anyone here has any suggestions on that particular itinerary. It will also stop in St. Thomas, St. Kitts, Grenada, Venezuela, and Aruba. What about the ship itself? Your impression of it.

Thanks,

Thanks Cruise Cutie,

We are shooting for Labor day weekend '05 for this cruise. We just hope that Princess will keep this itinerary. We will definitely check out the glass factory.

Just as an addendum..there are only 2 Murano glass hand blown factories in the world the one in Caracas and Venice Italy..my great Aunt went to the one in Venice..YEARS ago..and she paid $60.00 for her clown then ..we saw them MADE in front of us in 2001 and I cheaped out for the lousy $100.00 and did not get one.=sad..I was sorry then and may be even more sorry on our 2 weeks cruise on The Golden Princess in Feb if they have to cancel Caracas due to "unrest"..so if you do get a chance and do not buy one..learn from my :nono. I know you can buy them on the internet etc, and from Murano..cost ($600.00)..EEEKKSS if you go to the factory.. just buy it!!..:grin..it's not the same online , as if you had bought one there..take my word for it!!!..Take care,:daisy ..Joanne
