Can anyone enlighten me as to what happens when you book a guarantee on a cat AG when there is only 4 such cabine on the ship?

There are only 4 cabins that are "AG" and they are all on the pool deck.

What type of cabin would you possibly end up with?\

One could only hope! We are sailing with another couple on the May 25th sailing and we both took the "AG" guarantee.......

I'd say you have an excellent chance of being upgraded; hope it works out for you!

Let us know what you get. We are booked on the 5/11sailing on Norway and have booked a cat AG guaranteed also. Any idea on when we might find out about our cabin? The online registration form requires a cabin # and is supposed to be done at least 2 wks prior to sailing.

With an AG guarantee, it's possible that you will end up in an AG cabin (which wouldn't be a bad thing). If you are upgraded, it is most likely that it will be to the next couple of categories (AF and AE). These are located throughout the ship, on Pool, Fjord, and Sky Decks. There are also a couple of VERY large AEs on Norway Deck. One thing to note is that the AF and AE cabins on Fjord Deck have views that are obstructed by lifeboats. We stayed in a Cat C on Fjord Deck, and didn't find the obstruction to be that big of a deal, but I wouldn't want anyone to be surprised.

Called NCL today to find out stateroom assignment. We have P096 on the pool deck, cat AF. Is this a good one? Will it have an obstructed view? Not that I will object if it does, but sure am looking forward to having that big window to look out of.

beckyw....you have a very nice suite with floor to ceiling windows and a tub and shower with concierge service. I do not see any obstruction at all.

Re: S/S Norway -

There are no obstructions in that VERY NICE cabin. An ENTIRE WALL of windows as these spaces (P086-P119) were originally the enclosed second (tourist) class promenade. These were built during the conversion from the FRANCE to the NORWAY in the late 1970's, and are therefore more modern than the original cabins (although there are newer cabins on the ship)

These are not floor to ceiling windows. they are three very large pic windows. You have windows the entire length of the suite.

Nice choice.

we are booked into P 111 and P 112 on the 25th of May
