Here is some info I found on the Norway boards.

I just got done talking to an editor of Cruise Industry News, a
magazine all about the Cruise industry from a corporate side of
view. Anyway she told me that the Shipyard is eager to get repairs
on Norway started, and is considering lowering the offer previously
stated. NCL is considering the offer(s) and is expected to determine
the rapairs necessary around the time than the Pride of America is
delivered. But with the recent accident, that is expectd to be put
off by 3-4 months. Norway is Most likely going to be repaired said
another cruise industry expert.
Although There is no record of this statement by CIN, you can read
about other news at the website http://www.cruiseindustrynews.com/

That's a shame. My husband and I sailed on the Norway last February and really enjoyed it. Hope they get it in service soon.

I sailed on the Norway eight times - favorite ship, hands down! She is still at Lloyd Werft in Bremerhaven (they just declared bankruptcy); and is being used as a training vessel for NCL's American-flagged crewmembers. Love the Blue Lady (last cruise was in March of 2003), and also hope to see her back out of Miami again! Doesn't look hopeful, though.....heard she was going to be sold to do Asian casino cruises.

Shes not being SOLD to Asian interest, if anything she will be transfored to NCL's parent company, Star, which is in Asia. But I believe the the Norway has many special passengers, such as you diverdiver, that will keep her [the Norway] in NCL's fleet, but wont joiun their fleet untill summer 2005 the earliest i bet; NCL/Star has too much much on their hands for this second to worry about her at this moment..

We sailed on the Norway last May, getting off just one week before the explosion. It made me absolutely sick. I loved that ship. She may be old but she is beautiful. That was our 3rd cruise. I enjoyed that ship more than the other 2. She just had that feel of elegance and class about her. I hope she comes back soon.

Norway will not be returning to the Carribean. It will be a Europe itinerary ship when it gets repaired. There has also been talk of permanently mooring it at a port like the Queen Mary.
