You will have a small safe in your cabin. It locks with a card with magnetic strip. Carnival suggest sthat you NOT use your room key card for this. Any plastic card with a magnetic strip will work so I suggest bringing a card from home that is not important like an old gift card with no money on it or a grocery store card or even an expired credit card as long as the account number isn't valid.
Please tell me what ships have this on? Idont think it was ever on any carnival I sailed on But then again--I never took anything that needed a safe deposit box.
Serene, I can't remember if it was a carnival cruise or if it was RCCL. It has been a few years, so I was just checking if it was Carnival or not. Thanks for the lhelp.
All Carnival ships I've been on have safes in the cabins, as well as safe deposit boxes at the purser's office. There will be a small announcement in the "Capers" about rental of safe deposit boxes. Of course, no charge for your cabin safes.
