Hi everyone! I am new to Cruise-addicts.com, and yes...my husband and I are addicted to cruising. This will be our 3rd cruise but our first with Royal Caribbean.
Would love to hear from anyone who has sailed on the Monarch of the Seas. Any helpful tips, don't miss out on.., and anything else you would like to share about this ship!
Hope everyone is having a GREAT weekend!!! :wave

Never cruised on Monarch of the Seas but have cruised six times on Royal Caribbean. Great choice and our favorite cruise line.

Enjoy :thumb

Hubby and I sailed our first cruise on Monarch, a 4 day trip out of LA. It was beautiful, the shows were great, and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. The food was awesome, the service was superb, and I have no complaints. The only suggestion I would give is be careful how much you spend on drinks when you pass the waiter that little sea pass card. We racked up a LOT by having drinks every evening and almost passed out when they slipped the bill under our door that last morning. LOL

Next month will be my 5th time on the Monarch(4-27)........good little ship.just don't expect all the bells and whistles of the bigger newer ships..............Its all what you make of it..........

The Viking Crown Lounge is a nice place to oversee the outside world.......its on the highest deck and a great place for a drink......

The Schooner Bar at night can be alot of fun ,if the piano player is any good.........and right next door is the casino!!

Tons of stuff to do,but it is also nice to just relax!

I sailed the Monarch 3 times when she was out of San Pedro. LOVE this ship...one of my favorites. Back then they had a great crew who gave excellent service. Good food and really good entertainment. The cabins are small, so be aware of that. You'll have a great time!

I have sailed the Monarch twice and her sister Majesty twice also. Great little ships, I actually like that there are fewer people, fewer lines, etc I echo the commects by the other posters, but if you asked for a must do, I suggest the Quest game show. I wouldn't miss it for the world, if you are a participating person, go early and get a seat down front, or if you just wantto watch, get a seat in the back of the lounge, near the restroom, you might LAUGH that hard....LOL
