My wife and I are sailing on the Liberty, March 26th. I am an experienced cruiser but since the Liberty is new, I wondered if any addicts out there could share their experinces.

Thanks

Hello Herb and Judy,

My husband and I are sailing on the Liberty this coming weekend! This will be our fifth cruise and we are really excited about this new ship. Although we are a little nervous after reading about some of the long line ups and the kinks in the customer service for this new crew! We are going with an open mind,
we will be posting when we return if you want to have a look in about two weeks time!

We are sailing on the same cruise on March 26th with our 12 year old daughter. I have been looking for a role call but haven't been able to find one, and since we are new to cruising weren't sure if it was too early.

We too are sailing the liberty on 3/26/2006. With my wife and two teen daughters 16 and 17. I will post a new thread here for a roll call. Maybe we can all meet somewhere on the ship. I read a post where all people on the roll call wore hawaiian leighs and met at a certain spot on the ship. Might be nice to put faces on the usernames. Not many reviews or current info on the ship. Hope people will begin posting on their return. We are ready to leave the cold of Wisconsin winter right now.

We are crusing the Liberty February 12...5 weeks..woo hoo. PEople are already getting their documents for this cruise.
We have cabin 7434 booked and cant wait to try a side balcony for a change. On every past cruise we stayed on the aft.

Harrys is the Supper club--cost is 30 per person and very well worth the extra money. We are eating here on Tuesday. The menu is kinda blah and its valentines day to boot.

is your cruise a 6 or 8 day one?

Serene56, Just wanted to know did you not like the aft balcony cabins? We are sailing 3/12 on the Liberty and have aft cabin 6485. This will be our first balcony cabin. If so what did you not like about them?

Not to worry you will love that cabin. I had it on our Liberty's Europe sailing last Oct. Extra room on the balcony and its wonderful to sit and relax with a glass of wine during sail away from each port. No hassel for space on the public decks...
I have booked the corner cabin 8483 for our April 1st sailing....

Hi Cheryl only 81 days till it's our turn...

rdonte...... thanks for the info, its great to talk to someone that has had this cabin, can I ask a few questions?
Was it noisy? If you are out on the balcony can you see anyone above or below you and can anyone see you? Thanks for taking the time to answer.

We sail on Liberty on 2/4/06 - the 8 day Eastern caribbean route. You mention the menu on Tuesday is blah - we're trying to decide on a day for Harry's. Where have you seen the menus? Would you recommend Tuesday for Harry's on the 8-day itinerary?

Thanks!

MNtravler,
We only had noise and vibration when porting and were up anyway. Remember this was in Europe.
All the stern balcony cabins are stair stepped so visable to others if you and they are standing right at the railing. When seated in the chairs you can not.
We enjoyed that extra bit of room on the balcony as well.
I tell you there is no better way to sail up the Grand Canal in Venice standing on this balcony with a glass of wine..
I look forward to having the wrap around cabin right next door in April for the Eastern sailing
