Is it possible to take a water taxi, or a regular taxi to the Bacardi Plant in P.R?
I see from the maps that it is across the bay from old San Juan. The ship excursion charges $19. but the tour itself is free at the plant. If I could catch a cab for less....
I could do it on our own. Any thoughts??

There is a ferry that you can take you over not far from the pier where the majority of ships dock downtown. However, be aware that the factory closes down for about a 2 hr. lunch! You may wish to take a local tour that includes the factory tour. The driver should know the schedule and you will get to see lots of the island.
Bon Voyage

We took a cab $20.00 for 4 people to the rum factory. Nothing like the budwiser plant in St Louis. We had been to San Juan before and had missed going to Bacardi. We ledt our ship at 1:00. got back in plenty of time to shop the old section. It is a interesting tour. Not as extensive as others I have been on.

Can this tour be done in the evening? Our ship doesn't dock until 5 pm.

Last January we took the ferry at a cost of 50 cents per person each way. It took less than 10 minutes and when we docked we took a cab which cost $2./person.
This worked out great and the tour was really enjoyable as were the 2 free drink tickets. I'm sure you can find out what the hours are especially if there is a 2 hour
lunch break, we didn't run into that. Enjoy.
