We rented a car and drove to the Rain Forest. Planned to go a nearby beach, but chose not to, so we wouldn't have to rush. Returned the car, took a bus back to town and explored old San Juan. You can take a free trolley which tours the historic area and includes a stop at the fort.There are also snorkle, horseback riding, Bacardi Rum Factory tours, and nightlife, if you're in port long enough. You can also take an excursion, or just take a taxi to one of the hotels and use their beach, for a fee.
