Hello Cinnamon...we don't seem to have a lot of the forum people on this cruise.
I am sure we will have a fantastic time...

Hugs,
Marleneann.

We're doing the January 18 cruise also, but a 5 day land tour first. It's a long way from Florida to Sydney, so we want to take in as much as possible. Looking forward to seeing the Great Barrier Reef!

Off in a few days to London for a 14 day cruise of the British Isles and Norwegian Fjords, but really anxious to do the Australia cruise

Hello Cinnamon,

Thanks for your response. Have you ever been to Australia or New Zealand before? My wife and I are from the U.S., near Pittsburgh. It seems we both have a journey to get to our ship. With your 10 additional days in Australia after your cruise, you won't be geeting back to the UK until the end of January. We are leaving on Sunday, February 6th, to spend 3 additional days in Sydney before our February 11th. cruise. I hope you have a very enjoyable holiday and look forward to possibly reading some of your review before we depart.

When you go to the Port Douglas area (where you'll probably be seeing the Great Barrier Reef) don't miss the Wildlife Santuary! At the Sydney Zoo they have a Koala Bear which you have to wait in line 2 hours to see (and not touch) but at the Sanctuary in Port Douglas you pay 5 Aussie Dollars and get to pet it while you're having your photo taken! My husband and I went back twice and gave them $20 each time so that they can keep up the good work! Get there early so you can feed the kangaroos and wallabies as they are full and sleepy in the afternoon. And don't miss "breakfast with the birds" which is an option the Sanctuary has which you have to order in advance. You have breakfast while birds are walking all around you and overhead on the canapy. It's the coolest thing! And try to go on a tour of the rainforrest. It's amazing. This area is one of our favorite trips we've ever taken.
