Just returned from sailing on the Diamond -7/17-7/24. We stopped in all the same ports that the Sapphire stops in. I would definitely recommend visiting Mendenhall Glacier, we couldn't make up our minds until we actually got into Juneau and then decided to take a local tour up to the glacier and around the town, it was like $20 a person and a 3 hour tour. In Skagway we did the White Pass Yukon Train, we throughly enjoyed the views from the train and the history of the area that they talk about. We didn't have our kids with us on this cruise, and there weren't too many of them on the train. I think they would get too bored, it is a 3 hour roundtrip. In Ketchikan we did the Adventure Kart Expedition, it was expensive but alot of fun - book early. Victoria is ok, most people did the whale watching or a horse drawn carriage - we walked the 2 miles into and back from town - great exercise to burn off all the food you eat onboard!
