Hi All,

Looking to book another cruise with Princess for a July cruise to Alaska aboard the Sapphire. Princess is offering several incentives. Was wondering if anyone has been on this ship in a Cat - AC? Also what is the weather typically like for this cruise. Any and all help would be most greatly appreciated.

With kindest regards,

Gramps

Dear Gramps,
I'm going in 2 weeks so I'll let you know, but I've been doing a lot
of research about it. Apparently it will be cold and the photos in
the brochure are from that "one" sunny day. But everyone I've talked
to who cruise a lot say that it is the best cruise they've ever taken.
I'm going for the beauty and nature.

GRAMPS,

I'm going on the Sapphire in 4 weeks. Also booked a mini-suite Category "AC" I will write a review upon return and post it to this site. We aren't doing Alaska, but I was there before. You are going to love it.

The Sapphire is wonderful, so much so we are going again soon!!! Any of the "A" category suites are very nice. We were AD on the Sapphire in Alaska and had AC on the Diamond just prior. We have AB on the Sapphire to Mexico. You will have a great time.....

Alaska in July is hot, cold or just right. It is all relative to where you come from and what you are use to. Both in May (Diamond) and July (Sapphire) I wore shorts and t-shirts. Some people standing next to me wore down jackets and looked like they were dressed for the north pole. I couldn't stop laughing!!!! I am from the mountains so the weather is very similar to home. Bottom line, no snow, rain maybe, nights 25-40 degrees, days 50-65 degrees. You will have some wind chill factor on the open decks because the cruise ship is traveling 21+ knots.
