I'm slow to respond- but we're going too. Can hardly wait.

This will be our second on the "Sea". I'm about half way through packing, hopefully, as I tend to bring everything but the kitchen sink.

We signed up for the jungle cave tubing with NCL, haven't had confirmation (or it got lost).

I hope to parasail in Roatan this time, hopefully.....
Just stroll/shop Cozumel and Cancun.

NOT dressing up for Halloween.....

And wish it were longer than 7 day cruise. We have our first window this time, on Main Deck.

Hi Desiree,
Nice to hear from you. I know what you mean about the packing. Even tho I have read to pack and then take half of it out........I still tend to want to take everything I think "might" be needed.

We have not planned excursions this trip but I have always thought it would be fun to parasail. We did the hot air balloon in Arizona one year and loved it.

I think the main deck is probably the best deck on the ship, it is convienent to everything. We went with a room on the Norway deck this year. I got more than a little seasick last year so am hoping the movement will not be a bother. I did get one of those sea bands but hope I will not need it.

LOL...we are not dressing for Halloween either!

I've never been in a balloon, that's definately on my list to do!

When did you go the Sea before? The first time was a great price and I expected NOTHING, I really didn't want to get too excited and then be disappointed, except I knew the dolphin encounter would be awesome. I felt like crying when I first saw them, they are such beautiful and amazing creatures. We "swam" with dolphins in Cozumel and Roatan (Anthony's Key Resort). That is such a neat memory!

We had a blast on the Sea. Two years later we went on Rhapsody and felt just a little disappointed, as I had expected way too much, although it was really VERY nice. Just didn't have as many activities for us and we felt just a little bit "bored". We don't drink alot - some but not much- and we don't gamble. There is ALOT more I'd rather do for fun than loose money-LOL

We snorkled with Sting Rays & Nurse Sharks in Belize last time, and did a Helmut Dive in Cozumel with the Rhaposdy. That was really awesome too!

I love that the Sea has FOUR stops this time, Roatan is my favorite, and Belize too, hoping to see more of it this year.

I haven't gotten sea sick yet, although I did manage to get a horrible headache the last time. The addicts here have helped me see I need to bring Excedrin and Mountain Dew, because I don't want to be suffering like before. I think it might have something to do with the motion on the ship, but not real sure what it was. Vibration perhaps......

I'm also bringing some ginger root, just in case. I borrowed wrist bands for the Rhapsody, but didn't use them.

So nice to meet and chat with someone about to travel the same ship. I'm so excited to be going I can hardly stand it.

Sure is hard to concentrate at work. Talking about it helps!

We are just a little bit "shy"- and never chatted online with a group going on our ship before. This is quite fun and we'll have to keep a lookout for each other.

We are coming in from Fort Worth on Saturday morning, hope to get to the ship @noon (or before). Hopefully. SO hard to believe it's so soon. This month has flown.

We booked this July 7th, WHILE my SIL was onboard the Carnival Elation out of Galveston (Elation, right?- I think that's it). We were so excited for them- first cruise with their son who just graduation from college, but we sure needed one TOO-LOL AND I'm getting better, I usually can't sleep the night we book a cruise- LOL

I didn't sleep much LAST NIGHT though- just too excited I guess!!! And feel like I have alot of packing and organizing- and cleaning house- LOL

I LOVE that we can save airfare and cruise from Texas. How convenient! One day I hope to go to Alaska. One day.... but for now, the Caribbean, from Houston, is just PERFECT!!!!!

Hi again Desiree,
It is fun to read about how excited you are. We tend to be on the shy side too. DH and I were on the Sea last Thanksgiving and I had my first sail in 1999 (I think) on the Sea. Never dreamed I would love it so much. CD is retired Navy and he was not sure he would like it, but is now as addicted as I am. As far as we are concerned, it is the only way to vacation.

Am already wondering what the Dream will be like and when we will begin to plan the next cruise. I enjoy reading the boards and getting all kinds of tips about cruising. We are further up in North Texas and will drive down Friday and spend the nite in Baytown. We plan on boarding asap also.

If they are still having the Twist contest, we will probably enter again. LOL We are in our mid fifties and so grew up doing the twist. We won third place last year. Perhaps we will see you there!

We'll have to check out the twist contest, how fun! We usually "retire" @10:00 and always miss the late night "party". I like to rise for the sun rise out on deck, that's worth rising for and one thing I love about cruising. I wish I didn't have the need for sleep because I want to see it ALL!!!!

I'd LOVE to cruise the Dream also. In fact, I want to take my sweet mom next time. I'm sure hoping for next year. We're supporting one son through college, it will be so nice when he's finished his Masters, and the house should be paid for shortly therafter too. That will be wonderful, perhaps I can get to Alaska then- LOL

I've always wanted to see Israel too, cruising seems much more realistic (& do able ) though.

I'm from Houston originally, 47 yrs YOUNG, Malcolm is 51. We've been married 28 yrs. We took the kids (3 kids), and my mother and "little" brother joined us on our first cruise in '96. That got us HOOKED, there's no vacation like the one on sea. It was WONDERFUL, nothing like the FIRST either-LOL

I may get to take a sick day tomorrow, I'm real tired, not feeling great- and hope to just sleep in and rest tomorrow, and forget everything else-LOL

it's too much excitement,

and too much to do- LOL I RARELY take a sick day, unless I'm real sick- so it shouldn't be a problem.

What kind of excursions will you do this time? We really need to "scrimp" this time, but I hated to go and not see something NEW- LOL We'll see....

Just being on the ship is enough, honestly. I would love to check out the Grand Princess some day too, I wonder just how expensive.... probably way too much, but fun to wonder- LOL

We are early to rise and early to bed people ourselves. But we are determined to stay up and see the late nite comedian so have been trying to condition ourselves to sleeping in and staying up later...LOL.

Yes, I am interested in the Princess Cruise Line too. The ships are almost all balconies and I just think that would be grand.

We will probably stay with NCL because I just love their cruise points with MBNA...and the savings. We have cut our cuise cost in half this year and plan to have two $500 points next year.

We will be in room 8026 and plan to board as early as possible. Will probably try to get a table at Coconut Willes on the top deck to watch all the sail away parties below, as we did last year.

We are planning on staying on the ship this year and just enjoying being at sea....no excursions planned to date.

Hopefully we will see you on board. Have a good day off and rest up, no doubt you deserve it!

Cruise points sounds GREAT, we really need to check into this!

We'll be out on the deck- watching us sail away- OH I CAN'T WAIT! DH says he wants to stay up later for the parties all week, we'll see. I'm cafeene free now, but may just need to get into the Mountain Dew to do "it all"- LOL He says I can't get up early and stay up late too, and there's too much to do to take a nap, but I'll have fun trying. I may just come home completely exhausted-LOL. At least we have Sunday to rest up for the week. At least........ and I just work part-time, 6 hrs a day- in a quiet office, it won't mattered how tired I am- LOL- hopefully.....

I'm almost finished with the packing. Now, to straighten up the house a bit- and make sure the animals are set.

And this time tomorrow I won't be able to sit still!

I think I get more excited with every cruise-LOL

And I can't help but feel sorry for all those left behind, I wish I could bring my whole family, I really do- friends and family, who need and even "deserve" this more than I do. I always feel a little guilty- for the "indulgence"- do you know what I mean? I'm just real sensitive I guess and don't want to be "greedy"- LOL And I can't help the way I feel, but glad that I have a husband who loves it more than I do, who doesn't FEEL guilty- and "takes me with him"- LOL

I think I'm getting a soda card this time, usually I bring Dr. Pepper with me. I wonder what drinks they have, besides Coke, although I like Coke..... Do they have Mountain Dew? I'm bringing some for the headache thing.......

Hi again,
Yes, I do know what you mean about wanting to take the whole family with you. My sister's husband is a quadraplegic (sp?) paralyzed from the neck down and has been for 31 years. She has never had a vacation since that happened. Some day I will take her with us. And I would love to take all the kids and families just to watch them!
The muster drill is at 3: 30 and sailaway party about 4:15. If there is a place we will be hanging out at Coconut Willies.
We took our diet pepsi and diet dr pepper with us last year too. CD' s a tea drinker and I'm a coffee, so we just don't pay attention what else is out there. Loved visiting with you and hope to see you onboard.
Yep, I am getting ready to leave in the morning and have a thousand and one more things to do......LOL...so this will be my last post till we return. Take care and have a really fun time!
