The Sheraton is a convention type hotel in the middle of downtown. My wife and I have stayed there numerous times. It is quick cab ride to the ship but I would do the shuttle from the airport. A cab ride will be a bunch more expensive. Airport is about 20 miles south and if you hit traffic in a cab (hard to avoid) you could really be hit with a whopping big bill. The shuttle is one price/no matter how long.

Another option is a town car which are only a few dollars more than a shuttle (http://www.seattletowncars.com/) and you don't have to wait while everyone else on the shuttle gets dropped off and picked up. I use them to get to the airport when I have really early flights that my wife doesn't want to get up to take me to.

Since I live here in the Seattle area, feel free to ask any questions you like. I would be happy to answer them.
