Has anyone stayed at the new Seattle Marriot on the waterfront? What were your impressions? Also, would it be a good place to explore the city from in our 3 days following our Celbrity cruise in July?

Not really...not conveniently located. You'd be better off staying downtown in one of the less expensive (but just as nice) hotels. Free transportation in the downtown area.

Have you considered a B&B while in Seattle? We will be there in August and booked one for two nights. It seems really nice and the price was comparable to the hotels. Here is the home page for the one we are staying in; but when I was researching, I found many nice B&Bs-- www.olympicviewbb.com
