I just got off the Sensation this past Monday (Sept 30th). It was a great time! It was my first time cruising so I had no idea what was in store. The food was excellent, the staff was great, the ship was worn but you hardly even notice it. The seas were a bit rough, so we werent sure if it was the liquor or the swaying making us sick! Cozmel was rainy but we were still able to go to Plya Sol. Great little resort with all the neccesities. Please feel free to ask me any questions. Have a great time!

Went on the Sensation in July with friends. Had a great time. In Cozumel we did the Playla de Sol thing. We really enjoyed it. It is a beautiful beach with lots of things to do. Had all the water toys and plenty of chairs. Our package included the open bar. Only thing we did not like was the sand was so heavy and deep to walk through. After a couple drinks we stayed by the pool which had a swim up bar! Also alot of little shops to go through before you get to the beach or afterwards as we did! Grand Cayman we did Captain Marvin's Stingray City. I have been on the ships tours to Stingray City and also Nativeway and to me they all seemed the same. Don't get me wrong - Stingray City is a "must do". Have done it 3 times and would go again! As far as packing I
have found that since most of us buy T-shirts, I don't pack any. Just shorts and as I buy T-shirts I wear them. Take a nightlight for sure!

We did the 5 night cruise to Grand Cayman and Cozumel this past September.
I will sum up how we felt about the cruise in one sentence.
PLEASE TAKE US WITH YOU.... OH PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!
We had the absolute BEST time you can imagine. Packing advice.... pack half as much as you think you'll need and bring twice as much money!
Bring at least one formal outfit for the Captains night.
Bring a few pair of dockers and button down shirts.
Bring a few pair of shorts and T's

And have a wonderful time... we sure did and we can't wait to do it again!

Thanks for the response. Do you know how many formal nights on a 5 day cruise? Its nice to hear peoples comments. We are extremely excited (only 26 days left) By the time we leave it should be good and cold here in Minnesota so we will realy appreciate the heat!

Hey KAYMANJAK!! We did the 5 day this past August and had a blast. My review can be found in the review section. There is only one formal night which is on the second night. Any other questions, just ask away!!!

We just returned from the 4 day Sensation to Cozumel ... it was wonderful!!! My suggestion - take a really nice outfit for formal night and get ready early. Then walk around the ship and get your picture taken at every photo station they have!!! We got awesome pictures with beautiful backdrops (The Titanic stairway was our favorite) The pictures are pricey but you'll have plenty to choose from and will be really glad that you took the time to have them taken! Enjoy the cruise!!!!!!!!!!

My father was a workaholic. We finally got him on a cruise to Bermuda when a family member was getting amrried there. Since we are from Philadelphia, the CRown Dynasty traveled from home to Bermuda for a weekend stay. Afraid that dad would not like it, we watched him closely and the satff made sure he was comfy. He sat and watched the bands play while drinking his beer. He loved it. So much, in fact, that when we got home he told me to book another cruise ASAP.
I found Carnival. I looked into all the ships and found the Sensation. It sounded nice, had excellent ports of call, ect. On March 11, 2001 we got on a plane and went to Tampa for the dream vacaation with dad. It was me, my mother and my then 9 year old daughter. He sat and watched the bands, drank his beer, ate staek until he was tired, comedy shows, the whole nine. We arrived back home on March 18, 2001 talking about the Disney cruise we would take him on.
Dad died the very next night 3-19-01 of heart failure.
I say this to say that this was the best vacation of all because we got to spend time with him on his "last days".
Have fun!!
