Serenade vs Legend

Hi,
As the subject suggests, I need to decide between those two.
Oh I've never ever been to the cruise so I'm counting on you.
Itineraries are both great (8 days, only 1 at sea, 5 islands + departing one, south carribean), prices the same. So it's only about the ship. A very simple question: which one is better ?
Thanks

Serenade - launched 2003 at 90,090 tons for 2501 passengers 36.02 per

Legend - launched 1995 at 70,000 tons for 2076 passengers 33.72 per

I would take the larger, newer, and more spacious Serenade. With the extra space, you get more shopping, more restaurant/bar space, etc. And you get a ship that has 12 years' less wear and tear.

If all the rest remains equal, there's no contest. We've sailed on the Serenade, and on Legend's the sister ships. I would pick the Serenade, hands down. Actually, after 16 cruises the Serenade remains one of my very top favorites. You will love her.

So I think the age difference between the two ships is eight (not twelve).
