I had read in another forum about shareholders benefits. what in the world are these and how do you get them and make them work for you?

If you are a shareholder of Carnival Stock, there is an investor benefit of shipboard credit. The amount is based on the length of cruise. Read the terms as there is a time frame of when to book and the applicable sailings. You will need to send your booking confirmation number in along with proof of stock ownership (I just sent a copy of one of my statements). The shipboard credit will show up when you log onto carnival.com once it's been processed. Not a bad deal to get $100 for a 7 day cruise.

Carnival stock is currently trading at around 21.00 a share. You need to own 100 shares to get $100 off a 7 day cruise. Therefore you would have to put out $2100 to get $100 off. Last I checked that wasn't much of a deal.........unless your investment portfolio does well with carnival stock and you don't buy it just to save a few bucks on a cruise.

It would make more sense to invest your $2100 in a good sound solid investment and take the money it earns to pay for a cruise in its entirety.

I agree. $21 is a good price for Carnival right now. Earlier this summer it was in the 40's.

Did you perhaps think that you could buy $100 worth of CCL stock and get the $100 on board credit? Guess we can all dream, can't we?
