shark ray alley snorkeling reef??

Hi guys,

I've been to Shark Ray alley once...mostly stayed around the boat where the rays were. I heard someone say that the sharks swim off to the reef shortly after we show up and you can swim over and see them there. My wife is considering going with me this time, but she wants to know how the snorkeling is aside from sharks and rays (i.e. any fish corals, reef type stuff...) Can someone help me out...is there a reef within swimming distance ?
