Shark/ray tour in Belize??

I'm looking for info on this snorkle tour on my upcoming cruise in early March. I know the cruise ship(carnival glory) offers the tour. I also read many people have used Coral Breeze limited and saved money on the same tour. I've never taken a cruise ship offered tour before. I've always done them on my own. I'm looking for input on the cost of doing the ships tour. I looked up the price of the Coral Breeze price tour on the web.

I was just curious with the limited time in Belize, if it would be better to do the ships tour for the fact that the tenders will pick you up at the right at the ship. Instead of taking a tender to shore and then hooking up with Coral Breeze. Thanks much.

PS I've seem to notice that ships snorkle tours dont necessairly spend much time in the water before moving on. I like to spend some time and dont want to feel hurried.

I've done the ship's tour, spent about 45 min. in the water and several hours at San Pedro for shopping/lunch...not enough time in the water in my opinion (but still loved every minute of it) Next time I want to try Coral Breeze and see how it goes.

Shannon,
One of the reasons I plan to book the ship's excursion is because I couldn't find a private operator who offered snorkeling and San Pedro - and I really wanted to visit San Pedro. What did you think of the town? Was it worth the visit? I think Coral Breeze (and most others) do snorkeling and Caye Caulkner.
Thanks. Jeana

I enjoyed San Pedro...great little bar called the Blue Tang (...and I don't even drink) I hear Caulker is great though. If you book Coral breeze book early they sell out...I "missed the boat for my trip next week :)
