Usually snorkel equipment is provided by the tour operator or the dive boat you are going on. I don't recall ever seeing snorkel equipment rentals on the ship. Susan and I own our own fins and masks, a good investment if you plan to cruise often as we do. A better "investment" for us since they were Christmas presents from her folks.

=welcome to Cruise @ddicts...hope to see you around often :thumb

I have seen the cruiseline offer snorkel gear. Go to the Excursions desk. I heard they go fast. When we went the set-up even included water shoes.

RCI Navigater of the Seas has a shop where they try to SELL you snorkel equipment. Carnival will sell you mouthpieces for snorkels you might rent at the beaches. Overall I think the best idea is to bring your own gear...we got a nice deal at Costco including a quality snorkel, mask & fins in a good carrying case for under 50 bucks. Pack it up and you never have to worry about anyone else's lips on your stuff.:S

We were able to buy them at Sam's Club. $25 child $40 adult. When we went on a snorkel trip the captain was very impressed with our gear

Until I started classes for scuba cert. and had to buy some basic equipment, I didn't realize how much better & more comfortable your own mask, snorkle and fins can be. I wouldn't purchase them for just 1 trip, but if you will use them several times a year they are nice to own.
