Ship to airport transfer

Hi all, Can you purchase the ship to airport transfer while on the ship?

I've done this before on other lines. It's usually listed with the excursions, but it's not listed in the excursions for our cruise on the RCI site, so wondering if it's available on the ship ?

We've done it, but not recently. I'm sure if you go to the Guest Relations desk they could let you know, or if you want to know prior to your cruise, I'd call the cruise line directly.

I know if you book directly, you can add this on as an option at time of booking......if you book online, there is an area for it...

Thanks for the responses.

We just made final payment about a week ago, so it's likely too late for pre-cruise. I guess I'll take my chances onboard the ship.

We can always take a taxi, but getting a taxi at the pier in Fort Lauderdale is extremely unpleasant. If I had remembered that sooner, I would have booked the tranfer with our TA.

If you just made final payment,I bet you could still get it...........ask your TA,..

Just saw your countdown...if youre still at 80 something days, your final payment wasnt due yet so I am really sure your TA can add that transfer on...

Hi all,

Thanks for the answers and for encouraging me to call. I called the cruise line first and found out that "no" we will not be able to buy the transfer while on the ship. The Royal Caribbean representative asked me which ship, when we were sailing first. Then she asked where we were cruising from. When I said, "Fort Lauderdale" she said: sorry that's one where you will not be able to buy the transfer on the ship. She did also say that it is not too late to add it on through our travel agent. So I just called Lori, at Skyscraper and left a message on her machine.

Sure am glad I listened to you and called, otherwise, come Nov 10, we'd be fighting it out in the midst of that fray, with all the other passengers trying to snag a taxi on Fort Lauderdale pier. I've done it twice before, got shoved off the curb once, and nearly got run over last time. Not a pleasant way to end a cruise.

Well that was quick. Lori just called me back, and we're all booked for the home going ship to airport transfer. I feel better having that all arranged.

Thanks again Libby and PH8. :daisy

Hi Ph8, Actually the due date on our confirmation is 8/22. I think they may be asking for finals 70 days early nowadays, but even that would only have had us due on August 27. I imagine our date might be a bit earlier to allow a few days for the TA to get the payment to the cruise line. That's Ok with me.

We finished paying it off even earlier than that, last week, because we set up a payment plan with our TA. Every month she automatically charges a specific amount to our card. I can handle paying off that amount with our other monthly bills. That way there's no big hit when the final payment is due. I know I could just set aside the money each month, but I like this better. Lori takes care of it all for us, and I don't even have to think about it.

Final payment for 3,4 and 5 night cruises are due 60 days before.....70 for longer, but I know most TAs do ask for it sooner than that so they can get it to RCCL on time........

Im like you,I have been paying a little at a time for our Jewel cruise Nov 11th....our payment is due Sept 2nd.......have $400 to go...
