Shooting hoops

Hey, everyone cruises for different reasons....

My husband can't wait to hit the basketball court on the Golden.
Daydreams of making killer moves (he thinks)...under the sky, 10 decks above sea level...the Medittereanean glittering like diamonds all around him.

Have other people of more normal mind, noticed how busy the BB court is? Do you have to book it? Are there scheduled games? Are they organized by cruise staff? Or do you just show up? I presume they provide the ball...or do we have to lug ours from Canada?

I know a lot of this depends on who's on any particular cruise. But any impressions would be appreciated. Funny how no one writes about this - but everyone goes on and on about, say, the Acropolis, San Marco's Square, and Ponte Vecchio! Ha ha.

Ive never been on the court on a princess ship, but have been on RCI. I too was looking forward to getting out on the court while the caribbean glistened in my sightlines. I was quite disappointed that the cork or whatever they had used for the court had warped pretty badly. so it made for interesting but quite frustrating dribbling. most times I headed to the court there were only a few kids hangin around shootin hoops nothing organized. Again this is my experience from RCI not Princess. Hopefully Princess have thought a little further ahead and put down a decent court. Best of luck and hoop dreams to you r other half.
