Have been to Grand Cayman. Paid $3 per person to go to Seven Mile Beach. Paid $13 per person to swim at a hotel's beach. This included a chair, umbrella and 2 drinks. Beach was crowded. Many people like the swim with sting rays excursion. Darlene

We swam with the Stingrays - very cool. I heard going to the town Hell is dumb as well as the Sea Turtle Farm. Just stick with the Stingray Sandbar Tour in Grand Caymen.

At Cozumel we went snorkeling. Very cool and my favorite part of the cruise. Beautiful fish and water and the excursion was very well organized. We were taken out to a place and snorkeled for 60 minutes.

Snorkeling is great in Cayman (we did it on our own at Eden Rock...Get off tender turn right and walk a couple of blocks)

SNUBA ans Discover SCUBA (no experience req.) in Cozumel were wonderful!!! (SCUBA was far better than SNUBA though)

Ocho Rios has an excursion at chukka cove where you ride horses on the beach and then take them bareback into the ocean (ours actually swim with us riding) you can book thru carnival or at www.chukkacove.com they have pics and video on the website if you want to check it out.

Hope you enjoy!!!

Definitely do the stingrays in Grand Cayman...here are some of the companies we have gone with and really enjoyed!! I love sailing so you'll notice that all of my suggestions are sailboats and Catamarans!!!!

Snorkelers Dream Catamaran THis trip was a 4hrs long with 3 stops and its a great boat!! Great prices, only $34 for adults and $20 for kids

Captain BryansAnother wonderful Catamaran trip!!!

Red Baron Sailboat Charters Wonderful trip for groups....its more expensive but you get a sailboat entirely to yourselves!!!!

We did Captain Marvin's Stingray tour in Grand Cayman. It was great! Small boat, about 12-14 people and they take you out to a sandbar and then over to where the cruise ship tours go. Judging by the size of the cruise ship tour boats, I am glad we took the smaller one.

Things to consider for swimming with the stingrays........ship vs. other excursions.

Consider how long you are in this port.
In Grand Cayman all ships have to tender in, and because of that you may not be off the ship for an hour or so. Ship booked excursions are first off the boat.
Almost all of the 'stingray' trips do the same thing, same place.
You are paying for a boat ride to the sandbar. Forget how fancy they word it or how many people are on the boat because once you get there you'll be with MANY other people, all doing the same thing. All of the trips allow 30-45 minutes to swim with the stingrays.
We booked through Carnival and were very happy with what we got.
Stingray excursions do sell out so best to book it right away.

Ship excursions cost a little more but allow you to get off the ship faster, allowing a little more time for shopping or other things.

Whatever you decide, stingrays are THE thing to do in GC.
