Has anyone booked and gone on any tours thru "Shoretrips"? Going on the Glory October 21st. Looking at booking excursions. Have heard they are much cheaper if booked off the cruise line. Want to hear the good, bad and ugly about any excursions booked thru Carnival and those booked thru the internet elsewhere. Anyone else going on the Glory in a couple weeks??? Thanks in advance for any replies!!!!

I'm sailing the same day as you but not on the Glory. I have not heard too much about shore trips. If I remember correctly I looked them up one time and didn't think they were much cheaper than the cruise line on their prices but I could be wrong. You may want to read the ports of calls or the cruise reviews to see who people used. We booked with Nativeway from Grand Cayman to do the sting rays as they seem to have favorable reviews. For 2 stops, snorkeling and sting ray city we are paying $35 pp. I think it was over $60 with the cruise line. In Cozumel we are doing a ship excursion as I am a bit nervous about time. Jamaica is still undecided. I think we will just book with the ship. We are wanting to do something other than falls.

We are sailing on the Glory Oct. 14th to the Eastern Caribbean and then staying on the Glory to sail the Western Caribbean Oct. 21st. We have visited the ports on both sides before. Yes, it is less expensive to book off the ship. There is a down side to this. If you are late getting back to the ship when she sets sail, the are not required to wait for you if you did not book a tour through them. However, very seldom does this happen since most tours are aware of the departure time of the ship. I took a taxi to a beautiful park with a blue lagoon and snorkling the last time in Coszumel. There was three of us and it cost about $4 a piece plus the cost to rent snorkel equipment which was not very much. My husband went deep sea fishing on a tour through the ship which was not cheap. $145. Belize has some good tours to the ruins. Costa Maya has a reasonable tour (not through the ship) to horseback ride through the jungle/rain forest. Island Marketing is the name of the tour group. It was mentioned on this site (Cruise Addicts) They are suppose to be a reasonable and dependable company. I cannot say for sure because I have never used them but am planning to this time. Have fun on the cruise and good luck. Any other questions I can help you with, feel free to ask.

We have used shoretrips a couple of times, most recently for our Belize excursion in August. Never had a problem at all so I was sorry to hear that mitch had a bad experience. No matter who you use and if the price is cheaper or close to the same the best part of going through a non-ship excursion is that the non ship excursions will be much less crowded.

=welcome to Cruise @ddicts and =funsign on your cruise.

I'll be on your Glory itinerary 2 weeks later. I booked an excursion through coralbreeze.com in Belize. Let us know what you did and liked.
