You know, just to play devil's advocate for a minute... Since it is a cruise, Couldn't we compromise a little. Like let them wear shorts as long as they are tuxedo shorts(bermuda style, below the knee)and must be accompanied by a dress shirt, and jacket. This could be considered "cruise formal" . A sort of compromise on the formal dining atire that still would keep dining from being a slovenly mess of rednecks in tank tops and daisy duke shorts.... complete with a mouth full of snuff and dixie cup for spitting... the sad thing is i live in central florida where tank tops and dixie cup spittoons rule... it's just plain nasty ..
