Ml,I am like you.. I hate to be hot!! I wear shorts all day long on the cruise, in fact, I bought a nice pair of khaki colored swim trunks that i wear on sea days I am pool/ hot tub kinda guy! {there are 6 pools on the Grand) They have zip pockets and put my cruise card in a zipped pocket and off I go! I also wear tee shirts during the day (pool side) with colared polo or hawaiian shirts if i go to and event .. like wine tasting!!! I have seen nice casual clothes as you mentioned. I also bought a nice pair of open rubber sandles to hang out in during the day(tevas).Shorts are acceptable during breakfast and lunch with a colared shirt --in the dining room-- Horizion Court buffet, simply suggests "no swimwear" in the dining room. This is a bit odd since there are 2 pools next to the Horizion Court area.. I've seen some people in there eating, dressed in swimwear!!Dinner is more formal, I wear khaki pants, dress shirt- hawaiian shirt etc. Formal nights are the nights to get all dolled up!
