This is our first cruise,. It is June 10 on Freedom of the Seas.My DH made reservations on the computer (not yet paid completely). Someone who knows him said we should have gotten a cruise package of some sort, in the mail by now. Someone on one of the cruise boards didn't get theirs yet either (I forgot where that question is). By when should we have it? (I don't know what you call it) TY

If you cruise is June 10th and you havent paid for it yet, thats not good(final payment is due 70s days before)......You get your cruise documents when final payment is made.........

If i were you,I'd get on the phone ASAP and ask if your booking is still valid, but Im not sure it will be seeing as payment should had been made early April.........

Good luck......

Hello Lor,

I saw your post on the Q&A page, and tried to answer there. But in that post you didn't mention the "(not yet paid completely)" part. THAT is very important and it changes everything. Now this is not a good situation.

For what it's worth now: Prior to your making final payment, the only thing you should have gotten from your TA was a confirmation of the deposit paid. That confirmation notice would have included your booking number. And considering you booked on the computer, that confirmation would almost certainly have only been sent by e-mail, and not be a paper version.

It would also have stated on it the date final payment was due. Most cruises require final payment 70 days before sailing. (Probably it was due on about April 2). Did you get any e-mail like that?

(There would likely not have been a reminder to make the final payment, just the notice of deposit made.)

Had you made the final payment on time, you would soon be receiving your cruise documents that we mentioned in answer to your post on the Q&A page.

Considering that your final payment is already 29 days past due, your cruise reservation may have already been canceled. You need to call your travel agent, Or the whichever company you booked with, immediately to see what can be done to salvage your situation. (I'm not even certain if you can get a refund of your deposit at this late date.

Perhaps one of the travel agents who post on this board, can answer what is usually done in this kind of situation.?

Good luck. And do let us know how this goes.

I'm worried. I hope this gets worked out. I would hate for their first cruise to be a wash since the final payment wasn't made on-time.:(

If they went through RCCL then they need to contact them and see what can be done if anything. This is a really bad situation.
