Cruising on the Imagination Oct. 4. Flying into FLL, that morning, need an inexpensive shuttle for 5 to the Port of Miami. Am looking at a company called Quality Limo Service. They are giving me the best quote. Has any one used this company? Or any good suggestions?

We are flying into FLL at the end of August - I have been doing some research and found that renting a car from FLL to the Miami airport and then getting a free shuttle from there to the port of miami is the cheapest way - $49 rental from Alamo - we also have a family of 5. We will be renting a car to get back to FLL after the cruise as well - that way we can enjoy the morning and afternoon on our own until we have to be back at the airport for our 3:50 flight home.
Enjoy your cruise in Oct!

Are you getting a free shuttle from Alamo? I just called them after reading your post and they said there is no free shuttle service from them. Please let me know who does this......

We didn't want to take the extra time renting a car and loading and unloading suitcases that many more times. It seems it would be easier to get on a shuttle and go directly to the cruise ship.

Today I called the actual store, not the main number. It turns out they do have free shuttle service......Sorry. I think the company needs to get their "Ship" together!!!!!

yes - my husband called the actual store itself - and was told they offer free shuttles from the drop off point at the Miami airport - he was on the phone with them for quite a while. It's much cheaper then the $30 per person for the shuttle thru Carnival (we have 5) - We could use the $100 savings for one of the excursions. Plus since we're arriving in the night before - we will have all morning to sight see before heading to the port. When are you sailing?

It will pay for us to rent the car - we are arriving in the night before the cruise - and with 5 of us - it would be $30 per person to use the shuttle thru Carnival - $150 is too much for a 45 minute ride - we will have all morning to sight see - and it doesn't really bother us to load and unload our luggage to save $100. That money can go to one of the excursions.
Have fun on your cruise - this will be our 4th on Carnival - I'm looking forward to seeing what Triumph has to offer.

we used www.larryslimo.com for 6 adults. Was more expensive going FROM mia back to FLL then the other way around--but the price was great.
We got a white stretch limo for 33pp round trip which included the tip.

another good company is www.floridalimo.com

arriving the morning of the cruise-- i wouldnt bother playing around with renting a car.

We did this on our cruise on the Triumph. It was much cheaper than using the shuttle from Carnival and it gave us something to do before we needed to be at the port. I would also suggest renting the GPS Navigator if you are not familiar with the area. Alamo was very inexpensive and convenient. If you decide to get a GPS unit be sure to rent it ahead of time, when we go to the airport we got one no problem but when we picked up our car after the cruise they didn't have any and we had to drive out to the South Beach Alamo to get one.

something to consider.. especially for a family of 5 people.. a car just will not be big enough with the people PLUS luggage. You would need a van. The time spent waiting in line for the shuttle. waiting to rent the vehicle, waiting to return it. waiting to get another shuttle to the airport.. time --- it precious --spend it wisely

Please consider another option when researching shuttles - if you are flying in the day before, many hotels in Ft. Lauderdale have a shuttle available to Port of Miami for a nominal fee.
