I have never been on the Ectasy, but on two other Carnival ships I have been they provided little samples of some things, which wouldn't be enough.  I travel light too, and instead of bringing a whole big bottle of shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, etc. I buy the little bolttes they have of all that , like travelsize, at Walmart.  They are small, yet should last a whole week.  I hope that helps.
