To clear things up about the Skippers Club. Last year I had two totally different experiences using the Skippers Club. On the Pride in Pt. Canaveral everything went great. We were taken to a room just for the Skippers Club where all check-in information was completed. We were then escorted to the front of the line for our security photos to be taken with our sail n sign card. We were then placed in a special area to wait for boarding. We were one of the first to board the ship. It was great.

On the Legend last November the Skippers Club was non existant. No one from Carnival knew anything about the Skippers Club. This was the first sailing for Carnival out of FLL so I chocked it up to that but it did not make me happy at all. Embarkation was a nightmare to say the least.

I am going on the Glory in September so I decided to ask Carnival for a direct answer on what one could and should be able to expect if they are using the Skippers Club. Tonight I received a very nice response from a Carnival manager who explained that the Skippers Club is used for priority check in only. They no longer escort you to the front of the line to board. She stated that past customer comments indicated that the quick check in was most important. Now that I have the anwser I know what to expect and my expectations will be no higher than that.  It can also differ from port to port depending on the port facilities.
