I was on that cruise two years agoo......Anyhow, there are some flights getting into Ontario, Burbank, and John Wayne. Living in San Fran we have seen alot of diverted trans pacific flights, as well as MANY people backed up here to get down there (why they just don't rent a car? 5 hours max on the 5) IF Carnival cannot sail to Ensenada(no big loss) you will either go to Catalina Island(which is about a 1 hour boat trip from Long Beach that they float over to overnight.....or they will just have a sea cruise. The sea cruise would be your best bet....I overheard someone talking on the phone today that thier Parents were on a ship(not sure which one) that was in Catalina Island, and it was quite smoky there(since the winds have been taking the smoke SouthWest............HOWEVER, the winds are going to be changing to the EAST tomorrow so the smoke should not be a big deal. I am also not sure that Ensanada is burning, but I know from Satalite pictures that there is a fire on the Baja. Hope that helps you a little. Don't freak until they say NO DEAL!
