Smoking in Casino

Hello everyone!

My question is about smoking in the Casino on the Freedom of the Seas. My husband called RC and they said it was allowed in "designated areas". Can anyone elaborate on this? I have quit smoking 4 months ago and am not looking forward to being around smoke but I love to play black jack. Can anyone give me any details on this? Thank you.

They might have non smoking tables and some tables that allow smoking just like land based casinos.

Since I live in Vegas I don't go to the casino that much but when I'm cruisin' with MY Susan she like to play a slot or two. As I recall there is a bank of slots that are in a "non smoking" area but not sure about the tables.

We were on the Jewel in November also, and there was an area(or two) designated as non-smoking, but I could smell the smoke everywhere, it may not have been that bad, maybe just because I cant stand the smell... never have smoked before I cant say for sure, but I can only imagine that it would bother you since you just quit....CONGRATS on that!!!
I would stick to the non-smoking nt... Playing the slots by the doorways may not be so bad, but the tables are in the middle so I dont think you'd be able to get away from the smoke...

Thank you to everyone who responded to my post! I will hope for a smoke-free night otherwise I guess I'll just look for a smoke-free blackjack table. Thanks again!

We just got back from the Liberty of the Seas. The photographer's area is just OUTSIDE the casino doorways, and even that room reeked of smoke so much my husband didn't even help selecting our family pictures (he's allergic). Also be aware if you have a balcony you may be treated to the joy and wonder of smokers all around you, and if you go to a port where cigars are sold--look out! We couldn't use our balcony or even have the sliding door open to our cabin due to continuous smoking. The Cigar smoke after the first port was the worst!
