I usually carry some of those Slim-Fast meal bars - they have enough vitamins & minerals to be considered nutritious, are dense enough to not crumble easily (so they travel well in my bag) & are pretty filling when eaten with a bottle of water or a cup of tea or coffee.  I put several in my carry-on last year & didn't need them until the return from the cruise - it was February, there was a major snowstorm causing all kinds of airport delays & I was so happy to have them with me.  They survived the trip en route to the cruise & the cruise week & were in great condition when I finally needed them.  They also come in a variety of flavors - Deep Chocolate Brownie, Chocolate Peanut, Apple Cobbler, Chocolate Cookie Dough, several flavors of granola.  Hope this helps!
