Snorkel Excursions in Belize - to Tender or not to Tender

Can anyone verify for me if the snorkel vendors (for excursions sold by the cruise lines) come out to the ships to pick up their passengers? Or do you have to tender to the port and get picked up on the island?:

I have read that the ships have to anchor further away from the island then a lot of other ports and the tender process can be longer. I am considering changing from the River Wallace Altun Ha excursion to a snorkeling excursion if the vendors pick up their passengers up at the ship.

I am not a big fan of tendering.

Give me a pier any day and I am a happy camper.:dance:

Not sure about the cruise line excursions because I never book them....WAY to crowded. In Belize we use Coral Breeze Tours. They pick up their guests at the tourisim village where the tenders dock. It is a bit further than most tender ports, but a nice boat ride. We saw dolphins last time. Here are a couple of suggestions for Belize. We loved both of these trips.

The Wet Lizard Bar in the tourisim village makes some great rum punch :boogie:
