Be very careful with Stingray City Catamaran, Snorklers Dream, Captain Crosby. We used him on 4/17/03. Our ship time was 1hr. ahead of Grand Cayman time. We had to catch our last tender at 3:30 ship time. We arrived in plenty of time and took off for the excursion on time and probably had only around 20 on board. Went to Stingray City and joined all the other boats already there. We were anchored out pretty far and had to jump off the side of the boat (pretty high up) and then swim to the sand bar. The Stingrays were awesome. They were amazing and really enjoyed seeing them. We then had to swim back to the boat. We then went to a coral reef for snorkeling. It was very beautiful (my first time). We left there and didn’t go to the 3rd place we were supposed to (which was OK by me). Captain Crosby then put up the sail and got out his guitar and began to sing. We are at least 45-60min from our port and it is after 1:00pm. Starting to get nervous. My husband asked if we could head in as we had to catch the tender to the ship and he proceeded to say “no problem, plenty of time†and continued to play. Finally after a third person asked to head in Captain Crosby RELUCTANTLY put away the guitar and started up the engines (he already had our money so not sure why he didn’t want to bring us in when everyone on the boat wanted to come in). We had him call our cab driver (he had given us a card when he dropped us off) about 10min before we docked. We finally docked around 2:30pm our time (1/2hr ahead of the regular schedule). We had to wait for the cab (there were two other groups waiting on a cab when ours showed up). We finally made it back to the dock around 3:00pm. Much traffic!! I assume the other two groups made it. It was very nerve racking wondering if we would make it back. Would not use them again due to the time constraints!!
