Just returned from Pride. We did the stingray & nurse shark snorkel in Belize. The snorkeling was incredible!!..many fish, stingrays, baraccudas, and a few nurse sharks. HOWEVER, the trip there was rough. They picked us up in a "little" boat, there was maybe 25 of us all huddled in this tiny boat, no bathroom, no walking around...and then told us it would be an HOUR & 20 minute ride in this bitty boat in rough seas! The seats were padded but no padding on your backs. We sat up in the bow and let me tell you..OUCH!!!!! We stopped for about 10 minutes at some little island for them to pick up snorkel gear and you could go to the bathroom there for 50 cents. When we arrived at the snorkel site it was out in the middle of somewhere and very rough seas, most everyone wore their life vests around their waists (They didn't have the snorkel vests) Now I must admit that the snorkeling was awesome! Once we got in the water it was great! But I would prefer somewhere that you can snorkel from a beach and not spend an hour &1/2 back-breaking ride there and BACK! We all made the best of it and did have a good time, but beware. Next time I will snorkel from a beach...I heard Playa Sol was excellent.
